Guest guest
Jelly, I am so glad the surgery worked for your husband. Surgery has never worked for me. Functionally my sinuses are open. Essentially I have kind of a big cavernous sinuses. I suspect for me the issue is that the cilia has been destroyed by infection and 4 surgeries. I do irrigate but that just seems to get rid of the surface stuff, the stuff in the nose. The ENT dr. recently recommended a product called ponaris that you can buy online. It is an old remedy that has been around for a long time. It is an oil that you put in with a dropper. That seems to be dislodging some very old ugly stuff. I think perhaps because it coats and soaks rather than just washing over like the saline does. It has definitely found a place in my sinus maintainance regime. I have come to believe that by the time I got my first sinus infection I already had some immune dysfunction and my immune dysfunction could have been caused by stress or other pathogens.
