Physician advisory councils

Our organization is a large integrated delivery system and is interested in

beginning a physician advisory council for our Rehab services continuum

of care. The council would take the place of the typical " Medical

director " model that many facilities use.

The council would give us input into our services, program development

and quality improvement initiatives.

I am interested to know if anyone out there uses a physician advisory

board/council... and what models there are.
