Guest guest
This is the exact opposite of what everyone is talking about, although I, too, sit up on my toes and sleep with my knees bent. Has anyone felt an overwhelming urge to stretch themselves out as far as they can? Sometimes I feel like I've been curled in a ball too long, and I have to stretch. Anyone else, or am I just the odd one? I have a dx of TC. in Baltimore ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Luggage? GPS? Comic books? Guest guest
Yes at times all I went to do is just stretch out as far as I can go. Even then it is not far enought. Guest guest
I have had nocturnal spasms since maybe 2002 in a mild form, then it got worse and worse. Certain medications worsen this night time hell. Starting in 2002 while on antidepressants, trial of many, but the arm jerking started in 2002. That is when I noticed I couldn't lay on my back to do visualization tapes. Very uncomfortable feeling in throat, and pulling down my spine that I could feel in my chest & abdomen. I also got weird muscle twitches just under the rib cage at that time. Since then I am at the point where I sleep on my sides with legs drawn up and I awaken with my neck down on the pillow, also bent forward. I have many sx's of pain at base of skull/neck with cracking/popping sound that I feel into the head sometimes with horrible pain. Now, and last night the latest time I get full body spasm in that my full abdominal muscles, my back muscles, my neck muscles spasm into my head that feel electric charges. I got rigid in limbs like an uncontrolled stretch. Sometime back it started that following the contracting spasms my body, specifically legs go straight and rigid with toes pointing. I always felt the contracting spasms were cause I slept curled up and needed to move. The rigidity, going straight in spasticity started about a yr ago +. Like a spasm in reverse. I can't move. Stuck in that position for maybe 30 secs, hard to say how long. It will repeat unless I get up and get out of bed, which is sometimes hard to do when you are so tired and in that electric charged mental state where you can't will yourself to do things. For about 7 mos at least, since I had to move I have had spasticity standing up in the early AMs. It will continue for a minute or so mostly in the trunk, but I go into this brain freeze that it is hard to scan my body and fully know what is happening. I don't know if this is SM related, that I have been dx with. I just know things have gotten worse. Sometimes I think I have MS, but the LP last yr supposedly ruled that out. Those with spasms and rigidity, can you relate? I wonder if it is not SM, CM. But what? > > This is the exact opposite of what everyone is talking about, although I, too, sit up on my toes and sleep with my knees bent.
