Guest guest
I was having this conversation with my manager just the other day. I have no problem with animals making a noise when they eat, maybe its because they can't help it and you couldn't exactly ask it to stop. I actually told my manager about my 4s and she was really understanding. I was so relieved that she didn't think I was crazy. Anyway, its ok with me for animals to make a noise when they eat (thank goodness!!!) I love animals very much and little children so whatever they do is super cute to me and never annoying. Just the rest of the world... Guest guest
Kathy, Hope your surgery goes very well! I have dogs and cats, and their eating noises don't bother me but their licking noises do. One of my dogs licks his own lips a lot, especially when he needs water. It drives me nuts because we live in the desert so he is thirsty all the time! I can't stop him from doing that, but if either dog is licking themselves more than a couple licks, I make them stop. Partly because I hate the noise, but also because licking can turn into a nervous habit, which causes skin problems later on. --- katmat@... wrote: > I've been wondering if folks on this list have the > same reactions to the > chewing/eating sounds of animals -- like dogs, > horses, etc. > > I don't have a problem with the sounds that come > from animals and I > remember my Dad telling me (when I was a little, > little girl) that tho he > couldn't stand the sound of people eating that he > was quite ok if a horse > was chomping down a bucket of oats. > > Tomorrow morning I'm having shoulder surgery, so it > might be a few days > before I can write back to the group, but I'll be > interested in reading > what anyone has to say on this topic. > > Kathy > > > ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____Yahoo! oneSearch: Finally, mobile search that gives answers, not web links. http://mobile.yahoo.com/mobileweb/onesearch?refer=1ONXIC
Guest guest
For myself, it depends on the animal, dogs sometimes, horses never, pigs intolerable. I hate cats, so I am not around them enough to know if they would trigger me. I do not know much about sound, but it seems to me that I have a specific range of sound that causes the reaction. I will need to check the terminology, the Decibel level (loudness), the Pitch, and a pattern or a rhythm. I all are in the right range, bam, I have leave or destroy the sound. - > > > I've been wondering if folks on this list have the > > same reactions to the > > chewing/eating sounds of animals -- like dogs, > > horses, etc. > > > > I don't have a problem with the sounds that come > > from animals and I > > remember my Dad telling me (when I was a little, > > little girl) that tho he > > couldn't stand the sound of people eating that he > > was quite ok if a horse > > was chomping down a bucket of oats. > > > > Tomorrow morning I'm having shoulder surgery, so it > > might be a few days > > before I can write back to the group, but I'll be > > interested in reading > > what anyone has to say on this topic. > > > > Kathy > > > > > > > > > > > ______________________________________________________________________ ______________Yahoo! oneSearch: Finally, mobile search > that gives answers, not web links. > http://mobile.yahoo.com/mobileweb/onesearch?refer=1ONXIC >
