Guest guest
Is anybody out there doing PPS in long-term care facilities, as of 7/1/98?? If so, when are the facilities transmitting the first time: 5th, 7th or 8th day? My understanding is that they have until the 7th or 8th day, but some facilities are insisting on transmitting that 5th day. > Re: Florida reimbursement & focused medical > reviews > > yes, there's an appeal process, but in the meantime your claims and > payments > are held in limbo for many, many months...and, they personally review > every > medical record....since nurses are doing the reviewing, and you know how > nurses hate therapists, they deny even the most logical claim..this is our > world! > > > ---- > Read this list on the Web at http://www.FindMail.com/list/ptmanager/ > To unsubscribe, email to ptmanager-unsubscribe@... > To subscribe, email to ptmanager-subscribe@... > -- > Start a FREE E-Mail List at http://makelist.com ! ---- Read this list on the Web at http://www.FindMail.com/list/ptmanager/ To unsubscribe, email to ptmanager-unsubscribe@... Guest guest
I believe that Consolidated billing was only pushed back for Part B SNF. PPS in SNF is so profound. The advantage that you have is that the National PPS program closest resembled the New York demo program. I would recommend getting to your FI in New York for some training and skip some of the consultant programs, most of which are sales events. No longer can therapy just be concerned about clinical care. They have to step up to the table and complete their financial documentation as well. For example, each one of my ancillary departments including each therapy discipline, complete their own portion of the MDS AND audit bills themselves personally to make sure that both the MDS and the UB accurately reflect the services provided. If each discipline understands the impact, clinical and financial, that they make to their patients and facilities, they will be in a much better position to make positive contributions through an extraordinarily trying time called SNF PPS. Subject: Re: PPS-1st assessment period I believe you are referring to consolidated billing, which indeed has been postponed. PPS has not been postponed. One of the software programs we use is " Add on. " You can find several in publications such as " Provider " or " Contemporary Long Term Care.
