Guest guest
I have reason to think it has passed to my wife and then has passed back to me. She has no symptoms. My reading says this is possible. I have used all the oils and DMSO and anything else that my skin will take for now. Yesterday I got a brainstorm- Diatomaceous Earth. It slices vermin to death. When I went looking for DE in a pure form locally, I was surprised to learn that you can buy it at Lowe's as a pool filtering agent. Twelve bucks for 24 pounds. We are both powdering ourselves with it before bed. No discomfort. That might be quite a different thing to do in the daytime, while walking around and perspiring, but I'm going to try it. We'll see, Daddybob
Guest guest
I dont think the swimming pool DE is considered FOOD GRADE. It may be ok for topical use. doug Scabies again > When I went looking for DE in a pure form locally, I was surprised to > learn > that you can buy it at Lowe's as a pool filtering agent. Guest guest
The pool cleaning variety of DE is not usually used for people or pets. You want food grade, which is available here in our local Home Depot store in the insect killing section. It's also very cheap, as it's used to sprinkle on plants to kill bugs, but it says right on it--food grade. I'm not remembering clearly, but I believe the pool grade has something added to it?? But it might be ok for external use. I don't know. All I've ever heard is to use food grade. samala " tossed down to live among angels, who have forgotten what they are, I strive to remember " RLV 1998 -------Original Message------- FromYesterday I got a brainstorm- Diatomaceous Earth. Guest guest
Everything I've seen about DE says NOT to use the pool filter DE, only the " food grade " . I believe it has been said this is because of added chemicals in the pool stuff. sol ransley wrote: > When I went looking for DE in a pure form locally, I was surprised to > learn > that you can buy it at Lowe's as a pool filtering agent. Guest guest
My concern would be if one powders with the DE, some of it will certainly be inhaled. So the pool DE is going to get where it shouldn't even if only used topically. Safety info I recall reading for the food grade said to wear goggles and a dust mask when handling it, so one would probably not want to be inhaling the pool stuff. sol Votta wrote: > The pool cleaning variety of DE is not usually used for people or > pets.
