Guest guest
I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on what to do about my daughter banging her hand. She is 11 yo and has DS and will bang the heel of her hand on the floor, on a table, on the car window or a wall. She does this when she is hanging out, almost to relax herself. She does it whether she is around other people or not - I do not think it is for attention. She has had some sensory issues in the past and I think it is related to a sensory input need - her school OT has no insights. She usually has a short sensory program 2X a day at school (brushing, swinging, etc) and this banging behavior goes on whether or not she has the sensory program. Any advice or experience anyone has had with this would be much appreciated. mom to Marie (11 ds), Sheila (8), Marc (3)
