omg, he mentioned the paper shredder. I used to work with a girl who would get up every few minutes and shred the small pieces of paper that clients would hand her through the window (with their personal info). I went nuts because it was right behind MY desk. So... one day when she left for a few minutes to go get something, I unplugged it. Took her over an hour to figure out what was wrong with it. <evil grin>

Don't get me wrong - I'm a huge advocate of protecting personal information... it's just that she COULD HAVE done a whole bunch at one time instead of one every 3 minutes. (when we were busy, that was typical as it was usually only by searching on the client's social security # that we could find their claims... and since privacy was an issue, we had them write it for us on a slip of paper rather than stating it out loud).

I don't miss that job...
