Guest guest
The interesting thing for me is the fact that the Nicolsons are attached to the University of Newcastle(Australia) but I find no influence in the work of the Newcastle Group (Bioscreen) which has done so much work on the influence of micro-organisms on CFS Regards Windsor [infections] Garth Nicolson's New Book > This is a must read: > > http://www.projectdaylily.com/book.htm > > > >

Guest guest
In my long dealings with the Newcastle group, they seem only to be interested in commensals even though there has been a lot of pointers to chronic and active infections. Typical is their attitude to coagulase negative endotoxin producing staph. They seem to think it will go away if you wave an antibiotic at it. Perhaps I am a bit jaundiced in my viewpoint. I paid them nearly a grand a few years ago for an exhaustive workup and found that not only could I not interest my local duc in interpreting the results, Bioscreen refused to refer me to a duc who either could or would interpret the findings. They have a subscription service for ducs to step them through the results. The problem here is the cost. Ducs, like most people in business look closely at the bottom line. I may be maligning ducs but if you have to pay a large sum to potentially remove a steady income stream from your practice you may be a little diffident in doing so. They now have a local person to do the interpretation but he, in my opinion, is unethical as he requires his patients to purchase their nostrums from him or he won't treat them.. This fact , shows that Bioscreen don't give a damn for their clients (ie patients) but only for their subscribers (Doctors) This sorry state of affairs came about because they were denied research funding in favour of the psychiatric lobby ( led by Ian Hickie, a figure almost as sinister as Wesselly). Interestingly this group also included Lloyd who recently broke ranks by announcing at a press conference to herald an upcoming paper, that CFS is probably caused by brain lesions associated with a particular infection pattern of Epstein Barr. AS the Nicolsons are on the same campus ( even if only as sporadic visitors) as the researchers who own Bioscreen , one might have expected a little cross fertilization http://www.bioscreenmedical.com/ http://www.thecouriermail.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5936,18320354%255E953,00.html Lloyd story Regard R [infections] Garth Nicolson's New Book> This is a must read:>> http://www.projectdaylily.com/book.htm>
Guest guest
Rich, You could go to Dr. Nicholson's website and contact him with your question. He will answer. He answered my questions. > > The interesting thing for me is the fact that the Nicolsons are attached to > the University of Newcastle(Australia) but I find no influence in the work > of the Newcastle Group (Bioscreen) which has done so much work on the > influence of micro-organisms on CFS > Regards > Windsor > > [infections] Garth Nicolson's New Book > > > > This is a must read: > > > > http://www.projectdaylily.com/book.htm > > > > > > > > >
