Thanks, . Based on personal experience, I do think nutrient

depletion is a possible side effect of Benicar.

I can report that after a year on Benicar, SpectraCell testing

showed that I was deficient in one of those minerals you listed.

Zinc. But, according to hair analysis, I was also deficient in that

prior to going on Benicar.

But I do have a feeling that Benicar may be depleting or messing

with the electrolyte balance.

And I especially felt/feel magnesium deficiencies, even moreso than

I did prior to going on Benicar.

My B's were also off, according to spectracell, in particular, B2,

B5 and B12. Also D and something called asparagine.

I know some of this is just due to the infection, but I also feel

that the Benicar is contributing.

Lately, I've felt that I may be getting close to some kind of B12

anemia. So I'm revisiting my Bs.

But I recommend the SpectraCell testing for anyone who is on any

heavy drug regimen, or even if you're just sick. It's covered by

insurance.

of phosphorus, 50-100 mg of zinc, and 100-300 mg of coenzyme Q10.

Ask your physician to consider the effects of sodium depletion, as

well as to monitor your potassium status. You can also eat foods

that contain the depleted nutrients.
