Guest guest
Last Friday (Good Friday), I had my bone biopsy on my finger. If you recall, my left ring finger has been swollen for months now. The first doctor I went to see had not idea what it was. He had an MRI done --- and even the Radiologist could not figure it out. So they sent me to Duke. After several visits, they said I had arthritis and to take 12-15 ibuprofren a day. That did not good -- the pain was unbearable. So I went to another doctor who said he thought it was mycobacteria something. He sent me to an infection specialist. They ordered a bone biopsy. The worst part about the whole thing was the numbing medication (I opted not to be sedated.) The bone biopsy came back negative for infection, cancer or tumors. I am taking clarithromycin for the tissue infection (which came back positive but the hospital did not know what for). Any ideas on any of this?
