Guest guest
Amy, it's hard to find good docs who understand any of this unless you get very, very lucky. You've got to find one problem that they can't write off, and work from there. Build your own case. Get scans, blood tests, biopsies, coagulation tests, anything you can to support your case. It's difficult as hell. One thing that gets me in the door is a CT scan that the radiologist describes as " consistent with osteomyelitis " . And other CT scans that show diseased sinuses, and how they look before and after abx. Also, I ave lab tests that show antibiotic resistance which helps my case against generic treatment. Even then, it's hard to get help that actually means anything. You've got to come up with a plan and stick to it, because if you go in with a basket full of symptoms, most docs are going to kick you out the door. Did you know that docs are taught that if you list more than 3 symptoms, you're probably not really sick? You've got to have evidence, or they write you off as a head case. And it makes sense to hit them with one or two symptoms at a time, if you want any help at all. I.E. if you think your problem is originating in your jaw, then you have to scream bloody murder about symptoms that point to your jaw only, or you're not going to get helped. You have to support your case with evidence that will get you the tests you believe will help you. Don't let them write you off, when they can't find an answer. Ask for the next test, and the next test, or a referral to another doc, until you have some evidence to support a diagnosis that can help you. penny > > > I am requesting a referral for an ID doctor from my physiatrist (pain > and brain rehab doc) > > is the request for a lymes doc a seperate doc or same? > > I have root canal with air pocket of cause of all health brain and > sinus problems/disabled, also cfids(if those virus/infections counts > for infectious doc) > > > the pain and brain doc would give a better referral being a brain > specialist, but is likely to refer me back to my family doc for this > referral, and I think their referrral not as good. > > none of them will understand about root canals causing infectious > disease. and related to high lymes. > > do I also want an ENT and arthritis drs testing for bacterias? > > I am certain I ahve mold (bacteria/viral ) caused infectious > arthritis. it got worse from the mold meds I am on, as a die off > effect. molds from old root canal, especailly bad due to RC air pocket. > > the pain and brain doc willing to try to get me hyperbaric but does > not understand you need ABX corrctly prescribed first. > > I think arthritis docs test from a bone sample???? is that correct, > and I don't think I want that. prefer blood or nasal test. > > any feedback, thanks, amy >
