I just wanted to let everyone in the Northwest part of Houston (Beltway and Kempwood area) to be specific that I am in the process of opening an in-home daycare. I will be able to take special needs children.A little about me I am now a SAHM ;) I have 2 children my son is 5 years old and autistic and my daughter is 4 yrs old and a diva LOL. They are both in school all day. We have fought the battle for 4 years trying to find a placement for our son for a childcare setting (not an easy task as you all know.) I was even working at a local childcare school and was told they were not equipped to handle my son. Does he have special needs you bet. Do I feel they are such needs that can't be handled in a "normal childcare setting" no not really. Do I feel they just did not want to take the time yes. Well enough of my soapbox……. This is what has brought me to open my own in-home

childcare. Please visit my website if you are in need of childcare I would love to see if we might be a good match. I am sure you wonderful folks on this board could teach me a ton of stuff. I am sure I am like you in a constant learning and investigating state to learn more on what I can do for my child. I will do the same to help you with your child. www.gigglesngrinsac ademy.comI do know I understand the frustration of needing a place for my son only to be turned away so many times. This is a blessing for me that I am able to open a in-home child care to have the opportunity to help other families in the same situation we have found ourselves in so many times. Thank you for taking the time to read this lengthy post. Have a great day!
