Guest guest
my seller told me small bottles pass customs no problem ...4oz bulk shipment are stopped newbie questions Hi group, I am new here. What I am dying to know is "where do I buy medical grade DMSO"? I live in Canada and have looked it up on search engines. Apparently, it's a prescription drug. Do I need to get my doctor to prescribe it? I already have some 1000 mg MSM caps, and some MSM lotion. Is there a way to use the MSM caps instead of DMSO if I can't get DMSO? Guest guest
Hi Nadonm; I tried ebay, and they all were from the US. The prices were ok, but I understand that it is illegal to import from the US. Did you get yours from a Canadian vendor? I sent a letter to Health Canada asking if I can buy it from the US. No answer yet. I asked for it in a health food store in London, and 2 ladies told me that it is unavailable in Canada. Then, the second one looked under a counter and pulled out a 2 oz. jar that had apparently arrived there that morning. It was 90% DMSO and 10% Aloe Vera. $28 with tax. I can get a US gallon for $25 on ebay, but don't know if it will be acceptable at customs. Thanks, Joe Huard newbie questions Hi group, I am new here. Guest guest
Hi Nadonm, So, are you saying a 12 oz. or a 16 oz. container might be ok, or not? I guess a gallon would be bulk. Guest guest
Ross, Those prices on the site you sent are fantastic! Have you or do you know anyone who has used the gel on the face? Is there any problem with redness or irritation? It seems like 90% DMSO might be very concentrated for topical use on the face. I was considering ordering a cream of 70% DMSO and 39% aloe vera until I saw the site you recommended. Thanks, ... ----- Hello Joe, I live in Canada (N.S.) and have had no trouble getting DMSO shipped to me twice. I use jeffersequine.com the roll on is $2.65, the 16OZ bottle is $4.45 , and the 16 oz gel is only $7.95 when i filled out the order i said i had one dog and one horse. i have lots and give it away in small bottles, 99% pure and mixed 50% with EIS/CS for topical use. I make my own gel with DMSO and 100% Aloe. here is the link: http://www.jeffersequine.com/ssc/product.asp?CID=1 & mscssid=CJP7C92DAGFV9GFQKQC5TDAFGH4X14T9 & pf_id=16064 & cmkw=dmso Ross

Guest guest
Ross, That is a good idea to make the gel myself and experiment with the amounts in order to start gradually, especially since using DMSO for anything but dental cleaning for myself and hot spots on my dog is new to me. ... Guest guest
Well it is just 100% Aloe gel from walmart, and then whatever mix of DMSO you find easy on the skin. I can use 90% gel they have at jeffers anywhere on my body, well almost i guess, but if you are going to use it regularly then the aloe will keep the skin from drying out too much. I like a 50% aloe gel and 50% DMSO mix. It's probably effective at much less DMSO than 50%, so experiment a little on yourself. Hint, add the DMSO to the aloe, not the other way around. It's exothermic action will heat up your gel as you mix it, but would be a little much if you add aloe (or any water product) to the DMSO. As Garnet would say, add acid to water, not water to acid. Guest guest
Hi , as I said in the other post I can use the gel almost anywhere, and including the face. But you may not, so experiment with a lower concentration first. Ross Re: newbie questions Ross, Those prices on the site you sent are fantastic!
