Penny-

With your infection- you may have the distinction to know the

answer to this question:

I have read that when neutrofils are in abundance in mucous - it's a

green color and it means a big load of bacterial infection.... and that

Lymphocytes are white or yellow ish in mucous.....

Then I have also read where the color is only indicative of the

severity of infection- regarless of what cell has responded... and the

progression is from clear -> white-> yellowish-> bright yellow-> Green

to brownish green (meaning theres blood in it) .

DO you know?

ANybody?

Idle curiosity I guess - since I have a head cold AND am snorting out

(but not thru the nose) some awfull lookin' stuff...

Sorry, Barb, to hear you're suffering.

I can't really help. I'm one of those primarily asymptomatic sinus

disease sufferers. Nobody ever dx'd me with it because I didn't have

the normal symptoms. No stuffy nose, no nasal discharge, no

allergies. However, I did have a killer sinus infection a couple

decades ago and that's when severe headaches started, which later

became migraines. Also, whenever I started abx, I'd have a lot of

nasal goo down the throat.

I still wouldn't know about the sinuses if I hadn't had CT scans

because of my jaw situation. Another primarily asymptomatic

infection.

My scans show so many potential problems in my head, including a

potential blood clot, that it's ridiculous. But supposedly none of

my illness symptoms pointed anyone in that direction. Sheesh. I

think maybe they need to broaden their parameters when it comes to

infection symptoms. Not to mention their diagnostic parameters.
