Guest guest
I tried all the natural sleep aids and messed up. It may be I didn't wean long enough off the Ambien and so may have blamed the natural sups. for things the Ambien was doing. I dunno. Unfort., I gave them away and I don't want to reinvest. Sublingual melatonin has worked for me in the past, but doesn't seem to be helping now. I get mag. shots every 2 wks. and take sups, too. It helps my pain a lot, but it doesn't seem to help with my sleep. I get B complex shots every 2 wks, too and take sups. jan > > > Hi Jan, > > I didn't get the low frx add-on, but later wished I had... > > Now if you want to know why it is added, well heck, I don't recall either! Guest guest
GABA is really cheap and works great for sleep! Vitacost has a bottle for $15 that has 200 pills, and you probably only need one a day, so that’s about 6 months… 3 months if you take 2 a day. I only need the lower dose and it puts me to sleep nicely. It’s a very minimal investment and works great! I hope you find something that works for you! Guest guest
Hi ,I've been doing GABA for a few nights and it's beginning to help, I think. One less interruption the last two nights. I usually take some kefir at night, but was told that GABA shouldn't be taken with protein, so whatever benefit I've noticed must be coming from GABA alone. It seems like everyone i know right now (even non-Lymies) is having trouble sleeping! Could it be SAD, the grayest part of inter, or what?Be well,Léna GABA is really cheap and works great for sleep! Guest guest
I haven’t heard that you can’t take it with protein! I don’t because I take it right before bed, so no biggie for me. It’s an amino acid, which is the building block of protein… maybe it uses it somehow? Hmmm… not sure about that one! I’ll have to do some research! The first night I took GABA I slept 7 hour straight! Prior to that I had been sleeping in 3-4 hour blocks. When I forget to take it (like last night) I wake up around 3-4 AM and am up for 3-4 hours before being able to go back to sleep. I HAVE to remember to take it! LOL!!! Guest guest
Hi! I have found that GABA really helps me too!! It is the opposer of glumate, the most stimulatory amino. The reason it is said to not take it with protein is that it will compete with the other amino acids for absoprtion and the rest are sent to the liver to be stored to make glucose. But because it is a free form amino and needs no digestion, I feel its effect in 20 minutes or less, as soon as it leaves my stomach, and if the protein food needs time to digest and break down into aminos, it might be ok. I've tried it with foods protein like this and I think this is why I feel the Gaba effect first off as it doesnt need to digest. Blessings! Guest guest
Hi , GABA did nothing for me, but it does work well for some... What I did learn about GABA is because it is an amino acid it needs to be taken a few hours away from a meal with meat and to be effective, without taking other amino acids and about an hour before bedtime... Meat also has amino acids and the GABA would have to compete with these to cross the blood brain barrier, not all will and thus the GABA could become less effective... Take care, Jim > > > > > > Hi Jan, > > > > I didn't get the low frx add-on, but later wished I had... > > > > Now if you want to know why it is added, well heck, I don't recall either! > If I recall correctly, > > it added frx's 1 - 8 and I think they are used for the brain like for > relaxation, but I am nowhere > > near 100% on that, but I feel this is probably what it is... Guest guest
Lena, I have been taking GABA for a couple of weeks now and I do think it helps the sleeping. I do think that everyone seems to be having trouble sleeping that I know. I hung blackout shades all around my bed. That also helps. My husband is healthy and he is sleeping better with less light as well. Guest guest
Has anyone tried low fx 1-8 for brain relaxation?..see below. My lowest possible fx is 20. Holly Re: EMEM -RifeLabs_Jan I use a product that comes in a dropper bottle called Slumberease. I bought it from my Doctor's office, so I don't know if you can find it online. It is awesome it has the precursers to melatonin, DHEA and it makes me sleep like a rock.> >> > > > Hi Jan,> > > > I didn't get the low frx add-on, but later wished I had...> > > > Now if you want to know why it is added, well heck, I don't recall either!
