HI Chantal... my son had been on miralax and the only rash that happened to him while on it was that when I spilled some on his hand, it became red and raised. My dd had an amoxicillin rash, too, and I suppose that your child could have had the rash more from the antibiotic than the miralax even if they've taken it before without the rash in that it's possible for people to become sensitive to antibiotics over time, not necessarily the first time taking it. But yes, it is possible for people to be allergic to PEG so it is good that the first doc acted prudently and took her off. Wchantal_dussault wrote: Hi everyone. I joined this group because our 17 month old daughterdeveloped a rash of itchy hives all over her body after her fourth dayon Miralax. The first doctor we consulted suggested that it wasprobably the Miralax, as it is listed as a possible, but rarecomplication. We stopped the medication and she is now on lactulose. The second M.D. we consulted suggested that it may be the antibiotic(Amoxicillin) that she had finished two days before the rash appeared(for an ear infection). She says that allergic reactions toAmoxicillin (same family as penicilin) can appear days after the childhas stopped taking the medication. However, our daughter had been onsuch antibiotics before without a reaction. So I find it strange thatshe

would have reacted this time.My questions are: 1- Has someone experienced a rash that is believed to be due to Miralax?2- Has anyone experienced any complications possibly due to combiningMiralax with an antibiotic? Thanks in advance. I've already read lots of useful posts.Chantal
