Guest guest
Hello, I'd posted on the subject of turbinate injections a while ago. I had the 3 shots, but they didn't do very much. Today, I saw a new dr. who specializes in just sinuses (this is my 5th ENT). I've had chronic maxillary sinusitis for over 7 months now. I do feel better than last fall but it's still not going away. He said that my concha bullosas are very large and they're blocking the passages. I also learned that the thickening of the mucosal wall started well before the horror show I caught last July and that it's probably going to get worse. He saw my sinuses thru a camera- I saw it on a tv screen. He wants to complete the surgery to correct this defect. He looked at my scans (I've had 3), compared each one and actually said that the problem is getting worse. None of the pills, shots, steroids got to the root of the problem. Has anyone had this done before and did it work? The strange this is that before I caught that sinus infection last July, I noticed I began getting sinus headaches without any sneezing, watery eyes, etc. for afew years I'd say. Maybe he's right. Just don't know anymore. He said he's performed thousands of sinus surgeries w/ a 90% success rate. He seems to know what he's doing. I'm 42 and in decent shape, used to go to the gym (member for 16 years) but energy so low had to stop, I eat a very healthy diet. Thanks to all for taking the time to read this.
