Guest guest
For clarity, here's the basis of what I'm currently doing: Drug Regimen: -Benicar - 80mg per day -Penicillin VK - 1 to 2 grams per day (Sometimes adding Zithromax.) -V-fend - 400mg per day Nutrition: (for detox and deficiencies) - " BioPure " Chlorella (for detox - love this stuff, can eat it like candy. I would take charcoal but timing with other drugs too difficult) -Magnesium -Vitamin C (also good for detox and as an antioxidant) -B vitamins (based on my spectracell testing) -Vitamin D -Candex intermittently (enzymes for gut) -Antioxidants intermittently -nattokinase for hypercoagulation -electrolytes - I'm still trying to figure out how to best address my electrolyte balance, as I think this is also important. -dental/sinus hygeine - I also think that we need to keep our mouths (and sinuses) as clean as possible. I use a salt based tooth paste (or some other antimicrobial tooth paste), as well as antimicrobial sinus rinses. You can add H202 or silver or many other antimicrobials to your dental rinses. I personally add miniscule amounts of bleach to the water, and my dentist has no problem with it, since he's quite familiar with using bleach in dental procedures. Betadine (iodine) is also recommended by the Stanford Docs for dealing with entrenched sinus infections. -vascular/coagulation/heart health - I think this is really important area to consider when tackling this disease. -testing. I really recommend getting the most information you possibly can and to keep track of any changes, up or down. I found the SpectraCell testing (paid by insurance) to be very helpful in defining my nutritional deficiencies and saves me a lot of money on supplements. And CT scans of my sinuses and jaw were major eye openers. I'm also going to a cardiologist in January to look at a possible heart/vascular connection to the chronic nature of my illness. Regular testing as some kind of road map of where we are is really important.
