Guest guest
Hi all This past Wednesday we took Peyton to get his leg cast off (he had surgery for his club foot the same day his body cast was put on). While we were there I asked his doctor if he will take an x-ray of Peytons spine at the next cast change seeing as how he didn't take one at the first cast application (he had taken one a few weeks prior so maybe that's why????) Anyway, he said he doesn't usually take an x-ray at every change and that he does it every other change. I could have screamed!! How in the world am I going to know if each cast is working?? Has this happened to anyone? Should I insist an x-ray be taken? So far this Dr. has been very cold in his bedside manner but I've just been brushing it off because I don't have to like him, all that matters is he does the best he can with our son but I swear he drives me crazy at times. When we ask him questions he simply answers with "Yes" or "No" and I literally have to ask him open ended questions that are not yes or no answers just to get him to explain things to us. He is chief surgeon at our hospital and is suppose to be the "big guy" of the place but I swear he annoys me to no end. I just pray to God that he does his best with Peyton!!
