Guest guest
A few days before Xmas, I started to sweat a lot at night and most especially, when I woke up. My temperature has always been low, I average about 97.1 to 97.5 most of the time - regardless of my thyroid meds (Armour). Now it is a steady 96.8 degrees. It has been 10 days now, and I am just getting sicker and sicker. I honestly have never been this ill, this long, in my life. I know it must be viral because when it hit, I was taking Augmentin XL. I stopped the augmentin 7 days ago because I thought I was sick because of it - a herx or something. Now I think it is a flu. Three other people I know have also been ill, two of them were down a couple days, slept a lot and were finished with it. Myself and another have been ill for a lot longer. The other person is Dx's with MS and my Dx is Lyme. She ended up in Emergency and trust me, if I thought for a minute they could help me, I would be in Emergency too. Chances are more likely that I would go to Emergency and sit miserable for 8 hours waiting. Oh my God I can't handle it much longer. I sweat and freeze and sweat and freeze. My appetite is not effected, I am not nauseous. As soon as my room temp hits 73 degrees I start to sweat. All-over body pain is killer, joint pain especially. I tried to sit in my spa the last couple days and that seems to help temporarily, but my temperature never shifts from a steady 96.8 no matter what. Anybody else sick out there? Any ideas? Cheers, *S*
Guest guest
Yup, got the flu late Thurday night. Temp was 102 all day Friday and what a number it was doing on my heart (pounding, resting rate averaging 110). Today the fever has broken but everything else is in full swing. I have to be very vigilant with this because of underlying bad asthma. This is a bonus to last week's c. diff infection. I'm off abx as a consequence of that, and will see my pcp on wednesday to figure out what to do next. better health in 2006 for all. > > A few days before Xmas, I started to sweat a lot at night and most > especially, when I woke up. > My temperature has always been low, I average about 97.1 to 97.5 most > of the time - regardless of my thyroid meds (Armour). I am still not capable of catching a virus, so I can't get the flu. I wonder if I could even get Avian flu. I don't really want to find out though. - Kate D.
