Guest guest
Jelly: I am convinced, in some cases, ill people can end up with mineral imbalances. I have seen it in horses alot, because we control their diet. Calcium (Ca) as a close relationship with phosphorus and a lesser but just an important relationship with Magnesium. Calcium absorption also depends on the status of VitD. (ALthough I think there's also an independant passive route) Calcium's serum level is regulated by the parathyroid (PHT), and there is also an association with D3 in these mechanisms of regulation. Like every thing else, Ca metabolism is influenced by a variety of factors. THIS is why I think D deprivation for an extended period is not the right answer, even though it may be the right thing to do in the short term at times. That does for minerals also. The whole endocrine system is influenced. I don't think people or Drs. for that matter understand how important mineral balance is nor do they understand how to balance an imbalance. This is why the unnamed protocol (IMO) can If your calcium in your serum is already high, then it's dysregulated for some reason - the unnamed protocol seems only to take into consideration D dysregulation - when in fact there may be many minerals either in short supply or excessive (I read plenty on this list where people think they have too much heavy metals in their bosies). If anyone is experienceing muscle cramping - something is imbalanced... and all the minerals, micro and macro work together. It sounds like you have a DOc that knows more about this than most (most don't know anything- and figure everythings fine if you east well) so hopefully he can figure out for you, the best thing to do in your case.
