Yes, yes, yes!!!

Our son has always " withheld " his stools. It wasn't until years later that

we realized the sensory issues...they have increased dramatically over the

years...as, I believe, he becomes more toxic..sense of smell, noise bothers,

tactile, clothing bothers, etc.

Now, we are healing the gut and working with a DAN doc...doing chelation...

Even as a 2-3 year old he would say: " I won't poop...I don't like the way

it feels. " It's not a hurting feel...it's a " weird " feel that he tries to

avoid.

Subject: Re: update/gi/added

Something that really caught my attention and made me want to

mention this post is when I learned about the nerve damage to gi; is the

subject I have seen metioned here! I couldnt remember the

medical term, but it is the condition of when it is thought that the

child withholds, wont go by choice. I do not know much about this

condition but do feel that in some cases it is not truely withholding

(is possible if there is nerve pain). I feel it is nerve/muscle

damage/pain due to allergic reactions, allergies etc, this would

include vaccines. I am curious if those children who are thought to

be withholding also may have sensory issues also? Could those of you who

have children withholding let me know if sensory is a problem also??
