Doxy and Plaquenil mix OK in most people.

Mino and Plaq is another story- as there's definitely an interaction,

depending on individual P450 genetics. But you won't find much about

it on the web - this is info from my experience and the 2 other

people I know who also took Mino and Plaq.

Mino can reach toxic levels in the presence of Plaquenil - so both

dosages may have to adjusted downward. This combo also depletes B

vitamins to the point where my RA friend developed mouth and gum

sores- and the flesh of her gums actually peeled away - Sublingual B

vits reversed it. (She may have a B vit absorption problem- as oral

B didn't aleviate her mouth symptoms, but sublingual did).

Plaq. has a very long half life- and after one stops it, there's

still detectable amounts in the tissues months later.

Fluconazole also has a long half life - and I don't know how that

mixes with your drug list without doing more research. I think I

remember they both (Fluc & Plaq) inhibit the same pathway- so

definitelt check out with enzyme pathways those are for both drugs

Doxy and Mino? - is that so you can start with Doxy and work up to

Mino (I've never heard of anyone mixing them together)

Nystatin doesn't go beyond the intestines- so that's probably OK.

I've never taken Malarone- you'll have to reseach that.

Also- be carefull if she's on any antidepressants- or any anti-

anexiety meds- they interact with alot of other drugs.

I assume you Doc knows everything she's on- and has researched these

possible interactions?

I would definitely consult him or her.

Another worry! She'll talk to the PA and the doctor, and see how it

goes. Thanks, Barb.
