Guest guest
Here, you are not alone. Here you are not unusual. Here, others feel like you do! This is, in my professional opinion, a physiologic disorder that triggers and forms a psychologic overlay. This is not a symptom of a 'crazy' person. It is an auditory disorder, whereby small sounds of a particular nature, find enormous and unwarranted response from sub-cortical brain cells. Neurons fire like volcanoes! This has no volitional aspect. None of you wish to have this, most would do or pay anything to get rid of it. It often seems to strike in childhood. This is very difficult for families, parents, siblings, and more, and can be literally maddening in the search for answers, clues, therapies, and good advice. Here, we can gather. I can share with you that over 100 people are successfully using bilateral sound therapy devices (white noise producers) to buffer their auditory environments and improve their lives. They don't work for everyone. Apparently younger people find more relief than older ones, based on my one-clinic data collection since 1996. I will let you have a free trial of the devices. It is the least I can do. You can read my letter in the Files. More and more contact me each day. Our word is spreading, people can come here and share.
