Guest guest Posted December 17, 2005 Report Share Posted December 17, 2005 Depends on your organisms, but some people respond really well to Augmentin. Others not so much. Tony and I both know a girl who did doxy as per the Nicholson protocol but added Augmentin on her doc's suggestion and she was basically in complete remission for 18 months. Unfortunately, I think she stopped the protocol too soon and was starting to slowly relapse. She also had some serious dental problems that had to be contributing to her deterioration, but she couldn't afford to get the problems fixed. Anyway, you'll know when you take it if it's helping. Personally, Augmentin doesn't seem to phase me at all but several friends it seems to help a lot. They all take full doses. I'm always wary about low dosing with any abx, but I believe that's because I'm fighting a big infection and I seem to need a big amount of abx. Doesn't mean low dose might not work for some though. His protocol is really worth looking at because it seems to be applicable to all kinds of infections, not just cpn.
