Anybody know how Long is doing?

Apparently caught a good bug at the beginning of December and was

recuperating at home. I imagine he just decided to enjoy the holidays

at home, but would have expected a journal entry by now letting us know

his plans for the end of the trip. I hope he's well. He lost a lot of

weight during the journey - going from something like 380 lbs to 255,

according to his journal, but had hoped to lose a bit more by the end.

I hope he hasn't called off the last leg of the trip.

I really enjoyed 's journals and the story of his trip. I get the

feeling that really embraced and embodied the spirit of Steve's

trip (or the trip Steve originally intended) during his adventure.

Dealing with his obesity, talking about the epidemic with the strangers

he met and the friends he made along the way. All in all, a very

uplifting journey that gives me real hope that we too can conquer this

problem.
