Guest guest
> > QUESTION: Can PCR find the DNA from bound antibody/antigen? > barb, I suspect not. i suspect this not because i am intimately familiar with pcr methodology, but rather because SUNY-Stoneybrook was developing a specific test to find Bb-antibody/antigen immune complexes back in the early 90's despite already having the PCR stuff available. i was a test subject offering over both spinal fluid and serum. i did get results back and a brief blurb of the study results a while later. they had a nice test with decent sensitivity and good specificity. a few treating docs who were colleagues of the SUNY-SB players were using it for a while and then it just faded away. i was looking into it last year and the folks in the know had no more info than that...
