Guest guest
Good to know your 95% there , i'm surprised ARB's didn't figure in your recovery ..I reckon i'm in the same sort of situation but with me ARB's played a major role ...Anyway i read recently that swollen lymph glands do not necessarily mean the immune system is motoring up against your particular pathogen or any pathogen come to that , its more of a general muster to see if there's one antibody that will recognise an [supposed] invader ..which of course it doesn't do with stealth pathogens ...I'll dig it out if you would like to read the whole thing ... [infections] Re: lyme and abx Yes indeed. I am 95% well after one year of combination oral antimicrobials. I dont know if borrelia caused my illness. I was equivocal by IGeneX western blot. My illness was not extreme, but it was truly severe. I essentially couldnt do anything at all. I was in bed about half the day and usually felt shockingly horrible, could only live a few hours at a time. It was total agony. Now I feel normal alot of the time and can run 3 miles. I only feel sick when it rains. This took a looooong time and I didnt think it was ever going to happen. For instance it took 10 months of treatment to stop having major depression. Its resolution was unexpected. I do not agree with the notion one should stop treatment after 3 months asymptomatic, or whatever it is. It depends on whether you have tolerance issues with abx, etc. But still thats too little. Personally I would probably go another year or more if I ever become asymptomatic. But I might also keep doing a few months a year for my whole life, too. Or if my case doesnt resolve I may end up on multiple abx every day for rest of my life, I dont know. OCD and gland swellings dont seem to be changing at all so far. I will never stop driving towards 100.00% resolution. No one really knows how many people get how well. S Donta has data on his regimes but personally I would not call them aggressive regimes. I might guess there is roughly an even distribution, ie 1/4 of people get 0-25% well, 1/4 get 25-50% well, 1/4 get 50-75% well, etc. I have read alot of papers and alot of posts on sick lists, but this estimate is very very rough, a total guess. It could be quite far off. Well people tend to leave the lists to some extent, tho they sometimes drop by to say theyre well. With the recovery estimates, I'm talking not just about people with a lyme dx, but also RA, MS, CFS, Crohns, whatever; they all behave about the same. Newer cases seem to do better on average, but this tendency is a moderate one. > > Network BlitzIs anyone feeling better on antibiotics? How long does that > wellness last?
