Guest guest
Hi. I'm new to this and want input please. Our son was adopted internationally 2 1/2 years ago and had an intestinal parasite at taht time. He had meds and that was cleared up. The parasite had made him have the worst smelling poops and loosest in the world. Now, probably 8-10 months ago, he's not been going regularly. He will be 4 in january and is not potty trained for #2. At one point perhaps he was constipated and it " hurt " and maybe in his mind he " wasn't going to go again " . For this long now it seems like he will hold it in. I'd been to our ped twice about it. He said, " as long as it's not hard, he's fine. " Um...well, he will wait 5 days sometimes, go tiny little pasty bits each day up to 8 times. THis is NOT normal. The ped. had him on Miralax for 2 weeks back in Oct. After that 2 wks he's right back to where he started. So, this Thurs. we're going to a GI specialist to see what's up. Does anyone have any input on what exactly to ask the specialist? I'm gfoing to have a list of thigns to tell him. Thanks much for any input. J>H>
