Guest guest
Um, well, my knees don't swell anymore, so this doctor has never seen them that way. They only did that for the first year I was sick. And all my lab values are normal, except the white blood cell count kept going low. Every time I mentioned that one, the doctor told me the same story about how some people just normally have some abnormal values, like he himself has low something or other and there's absolutely nothing wrong with him. Or maybe I had a virus at the time (even though I don't get viruses anymore.) Oh, and yah, I test positive for Lyme at IGeneX but my doc believes that one even less than you do, Tony. I went in there partly to try to get an H pylori test for my son, whose digestive tract has hurt for years. Seeing as how people with somatisation disorders demand lots of unreasonable tests, I can see I'm not going to get far with that request. He headed it off at the pass anyway by lecturing me and then telling me we were out of time. I guess I should just accept that I'm making my son sick. Amazing how I was able to make him sick so fast -- already by the time he was 9 months old. In fact, so much did I brainwash my son into thinking he has Lyme disease, that his blood even started testing positive for it at the same foreign lab! - Kate On Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at 08:43 PM, dumbaussie2000 wrote: > Kate > Sorry to chime in here. Guest guest
If he is suggesting that you are responsible for your son's illness I believe that fall under Munchausins by Proxy rather than somatization. A very serious accusation. People have had their children taken from them for this reason. I would take the advice of others here. You need to move on. Guest guest
What's clarithromycin? I'm also taking antidepressants, which I hate. I believe my one of my problems is allergies to some things I haven't pinpointed yet. Plus MCS, CFS, sleep apnea. How do those of you with CFS explain the depression or deal with it? I don't think I'm that depressed, but my head is foggy, my energy low, stamina low. I take cortisol for adrenal support. I'm afraid to come off the antidepressants because what if I really do need them? I know that when I start a new one, I feel better. But after a couple of years, it's hard to tell if I'm any better--because the CFS symptoms are so intrusive in my life. Know what I mean? Thanks. I recall my wife's jubilance that I actually woke up, got up whistling. Funny how feeling a little better makes you have a lot less depression. I wonder, could a toxic system have anything to do with being depressed??? I took the rest of my amitrypilene/elavil and flushed it.What a farce.> > > > > Kate,> > > > > > >My physician just told me that CFS patients are usually > depressed > > > before they get CFS and that's what the >literature says.
