Guest guest
My HMO doctor called me today and was actually very nice. He's only at this clinic twice a week, so...he spent a while talking to the head pathologist, who I guess now is interested in my case, and she had found no babesia on the smear. Now I'm sure she looked carefully so even if one or two had shown up. But she suggested another smear to be sure and he said, Why don't you come in on a day you feel really lousy, as there may be variations in parasite load (this indicates to me he actually doesn't think I'm winge-ing.) Anyway, Tony, I was wondering, maybe I could ask her to look for holly jollies or whatever those things are...is there anything else I can ask her to look for in my thick and thin smear? As long as they're sort of on my side now. I told him, Thank you for going the extra mile. TIA...I *am* going to wait until a day I feel like total shit and go up there as the requisition is waiting, so I don't have to make an appt.
