Penny,

My experiences with hypothyroidism have taught me the importance of

measuring Free T3 and Free T4 rather than TSH, especially if taking

dessicated thyroid.

As the percentages of T3/4 is quite different in the porcine

preparation compared to human, we may end up with a high FT3 or at

the least an inappropriate balance of hormone.

I had quite a time adjusting to Thyroid (Canadian Armour), but once

I used the Free T3/4's as a guide to adjust doseages, I managed to

stabilize. I also was exhibited hyper symptoms and found that my FT3

was over the top of the range while my FT4 was at the bottom of it's

range.

Emma developed a wonderful calculator to assist in fine-tuning

doseages...check it out.

Thanks Emma! I always have my free t3 and free t4 tested too. And it

wasn't until I addressed both with armour that I got stabilized. But

since I've been on this particular protocol (benicar/abx/antifungal)

it's acting up again. My guess is the armour has too much t3 in it.

It's great to have an aid like this and I'm ggoing to forward it to

a friend immediately.

thanks again.
