Guest guest
Ok I am reading this and freaking out. My 22 month old daughter has been on double adult doses of this since she was 3 months old. It does nothing for her and now I am worried about side affects. They want to put my new baby girl who is 3 months old suffering from the same symtums on this med to....More info please. I need help to know what to do. When I spoke to you I was concerned about the use of Miralax in pediatric patients. Braintree Labs just made Miralax OTC without a prescription. There is a growing number of people including children dying from this. What can we do? You are the only person I know that knows how harmful this med is and what this chemical can do to the body. I have been researching this for 7 years and I have two doctor's helping me, getting me information about gut permeability and so fourth. I have 447 people, Adults and many children through the FDA and they are giving adult doses to children as little as 20 months of age. According to the FOIA sheets, they are expieriencing many side affects including tics, tremors, hyponaetremia, neuro behaviors, renal failure and death. This med is not approved for use in children and they are using it off label, in an Adult dose. Someone has to stop this. I am waiting on my next submittion from the FDA, that should have another increase in adverse reactions, it shoud be here in a few weeks, we have a website consisting of 228 people called miralax of people complaing of the same symptoms. The pamphlet on the counter says Safe and effective*,( with an asterisk) , at the bottom is a key, ( *) means, when used as directed, so if they are giving and adult dose, then it wouldnt' be safe or effective because it's not being used as directed, and they can't change the dose, because it states not to give to children. It also states no painful cramps and no excess gas** ( with 2 asterisks) meaning based on laboratory study, individual results may vary. Laboratory studies are done before they use it in humans. I feel this is very misleading These children have all been used as an expieriment, , the doctors are misdirecting patients stating that it's not absorbed, it even states that on the pamphlet. If the protocol is wrong, they will continue to use this unless proven otherwise. The reasearch I've found and what my doctor's have found are contraditory to their claims, as your study was as well. The doctors are using this against the labeling instructions, and manufacturers, knowingly filling prescriptions for children against their own labeling instructions. How can they get away will this? Would you be interested in researching what I have? If not, what can I do? Some one needs to protect our children. Jeanie Ward May the Lord continue to bless you, more abundantly! Guest guest
Melody, this is very sad to read about such large doses! Had they tried anything with your first dd before miralax? How did it work? Does she have any other medical conditions or has she been tested to see 'why' she was so constipated at 3 months of age? As far as your second dd, I would suggest trying other things... have you tried any of the over the counter stuff like Benefiber or the other one in the blue container--can't think of the name right now... both of those would mix into a bottle very easily. I would also try adding some prune juice to the bottle...not a lot, start with a little amount, but the baby may drink it down just fine. I would also begin to explore the reasons why both your dd's are constipated-- might they have a real problem like hirschprungs? Might they have celiac? Might they have hidden food allergies and the constipation is a symptom of how their body is reacting to the ingredients in their formula or breastmilk? One thing we haven't talked about on this board is Malt Supex. It is not cheap--pretty pricey BUT it is a natural substance that helps to soften stools. Pharmacists can order it. Malt Supex mixes in the bottle contents very well, and adds a malt flavoring to it. Wmelody andersen wrote: Ok I am reading this and freaking out. Guest guest
FIrst -- NO MORE VACCINES -- your child(ren) have probably been affected by either the viruses themselves -- or the ingredients in the vaccines. Second -- and I'm saving you 4 years of research -- go see a DAN doctor of one that is familiar - ND too. NO ONE told me that there is a direct correlation between GI issues and neural development. Third -- keep pressing on the bowel issue -- do not accept miralax as a bandaid -- there is no such thing as functional constipation. Get a complete blood/stool/urine workup including fat soluble vitamins. My guess -- low in Vitamin A and magnesium. Problems with sulfation. Third -- Start reading about biomedical and autism. NO -- not that your children have autism -- but left untreated they have a real likelihood of regressing into it. Don't give up - your child is depending on you. > > > Note: forwarded message attached. > > Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2007 07:17:10 -0700 (PDT) > > Subject: Fwd: OTC MIralax (Polyethylene glycol) > To: mdanczyk@... > > > > Note: forwarded message attached.Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2007 06:21:20 - 0700 (PDT) > > Subject: OTC MIralax (Polyethylene glycol) > To: Elyse > > Dear , > I spoke to you many years ago regarding the article you wrote titled, Fatal Dysnatremia caused by Elective Colonoscopy. Guest guest
Hi-- depending on which state you live in, kids can go to school without shots based on a "philosophical exemption", which means, you just don't want to do them, or some of them. For other states, you have to have a religious exemption. It doesnt' mean that you have to say you are part of church X, but it does mean that you have to write a letter that cites your religious beliefs and perhaps part of scripture or text that applies to not vaccinating, and there are some...that information can be found online. The last option is a medical exemption, which means a doctor signs off, and that is generally harder to come by. The thing about the shots is, even though the mercury has been reduced, it is still present in some of the shots... but also aluminum. Constipation is a side effect of too much aluminum, too...and some of the shots that are multi-dose jars, there can be too much of these heavy metals in the shots if the bottle is not appropriately shaken before the nurse puts the syringe in to pull out the liquid. But again, post about the history of your two little ones--did either of them ever have normal looking stools? At what age did things begin to change? Was there a change in the formula or diet prior to the change in their stools? Wmelody andersen wrote: Oh yes they are depending on me and I am heart broken. I am going to do my research now!!!!!!! Guest guest
State vaccine exemption information. http://home.san.rr.com/via/STATES/allstates.htm Up until 1992 +/- kids only had 10 recommended/required vaccines. Now the number is 37! If you make a graph with a 2 year lag against the numbers being diagnosed with autism or ADHD, with the recommended number of vaccines the lines are nearly parallel -- with a huge slope. Exponential growth -- truly an epidemic. The funny thing is the medical professionals get all wiggy about NOT having shots -- citing that it can lead to an epidemic -- it already has! DAN stands for Defeat Autism Now. An overview http://www.talkautism.com/Components/Video/Video.aspx?v=42# It can be difficult to find the right practitioner. Where are you located? This is a road that is worth it in the end.... but you will have to be reading A LOT! > > > > > > Note: forwarded message attached. > > > > Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2007 07:17:10 -0700 (PDT) > > From: Jeanie Ward <dreamjeanie@> > > Subject: Fwd: OTC MIralax (Polyethylene glycol) > > To: mdanczyk@ > > > > > > > > Note: forwarded message attached.Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2007 06:21:20 - > 0700 (PDT) > > From: Jeanie Ward <dreamjeanie@> > > Subject: OTC MIralax (Polyethylene glycol) > > To: Elyse <eroberts@> > > > > Dear , > > I spoke to you many years ago regarding the article you wrote > titled, Fatal Dysnatremia caused by Elective Colonoscopy. Guest guest
Gret info on vacs.....my older one has had double doses of numerous vacs because of our move from fl to texas. The older girl was fine...well she pasted her final malcomin(spelling fiest stool) at about 2 weeks of age due to juandice and being bf as the docs said. She was fine untill she turned 3 months and went to total formula. She was real fussy changed her diaper to find a diaper full of blood like heavy period. Rushed to er said she ripped her butt and was cinstipated gave her an enema and said do not feed anything but water till she sees doc. Doc sent her to GI specialist and all he said was miralax please. Switched to soy and then to nutramigin nothing helped had alergy tests and they all came back normal but her back on reg formula. Been on 17grams twice a day since it has never really helped may be once or twice it soften the stool or gave her diarrea. She is 28 lbs now but not because of food because she does not like to eat because then she has to go to the bathroom. Her GI doc her is great he is very nice and listens to me but says he thinks it is in her head now and that if the biospy comes back negative I need to take her to the shrink. My baby nothing has changed at all she would not nurse so she has been on the same formula since birth. Now she started pooping pelets and her stomach is bloated. Gets real fussy and cries had some blood in her stool and now has a fiset (spelling). She has a heart murmor and diastis rechi (spelling) I believe she was about 4 weeks early and my doc made a mistake but no body will admitt to it. I have never wanted to give my kids shots I hate them! My 6 year old got the chicken pox shot the next day she was broke out with exema and it spread everywhere. She lost half her head of hair and a cyst grew behind her ear took 5 doctors before i got a surgical consult and got to have it removed. Thank God it was negative. Thanks for info and I welcome all advise!!!Melodym w wrote: Hi-- depending on which state you live in, kids can go to school without shots based on a "philosophical exemption", which means, you just don't want to do them, or some of them. Guest guest
You can check out which shots come preservative free which is a huge difference they are costly, but worth it. Also ask for mono-valent shots, meaning already prepared shot in a plastic tube, not taken out of the bottle, of buying them in bulk to keep the physicians costs down. When prepared individually, they usually don't have thymerysol or mercury but always check. I have a girl that works for me and her doc keeps pushing her to get the chicken pox vaccine, that he needs for kindergarden, he's only 2, so why does he deep pushing these vaccine's so early, I suggested waiting as long as you can, they are slowly taking out the preservatives as they are slowing getting educated on the effects of what used to be the way they've always done it. I love the way they look at you when you question them, they look at you like, you're not suppose to know this! And it's really funny when the nurses don't even know what thymerysol is? Even better, when I have to fix the vaccine records because they were never combined from a prior physician. It's no wonder she tried to give my dd a IPV polio shot she didn't need. When I asked a nurse for the MSDS (material safety data sheet) on a test for my husband, she said, What's that? Oh! It's nice to know we're in good hands! Always do your homework, never assume they are competent, just because they have a degree. Guest guest
What kind of insurance do you have? It sounds like you did IgA tests only -- you need to get IgG and IgE too. Have you ever tried a GFCF or SCD diet for them? > > > > > > Note: forwarded message attached. > > > > Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2007 07:17:10 -0700 (PDT) > > From: Jeanie Ward <dreamjeanie@> > > Subject: Fwd: OTC MIralax (Polyethylene glycol) > > To: mdanczyk@ > > > > > > > > Note: forwarded message attached.Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2007 06:21:20 - > 0700 (PDT) > > From: Jeanie Ward <dreamjeanie@> > > Subject: OTC MIralax (Polyethylene glycol) > > To: Elyse <eroberts@> > > > > Dear , > > I spoke to you many years ago regarding the article you wrote > titled, Fatal Dysnatremia caused by Elective Colonoscopy.
