Hi All,

Question. Kennedy is four and half months old and still working on head

control.

Does this sound like anybody else? How long did it take your little one to get

head

control.

and Kennedy (4 1/2 months, 15lbs. 24 " long)

Hannah is 2y11m (almost) and still has almost no head control. She turns her

head when laying down so that she can get her left fist to her mouth.

Otherwise all the head movement is due to spasms/cp. She mostly thrusts her

head backwards, but sometimes in the car she takes a fancy to letting it

fall forward and I have to stop frequently to help. A long sock half filled

with soft wadding or foam has proven useful to prevent this. Just wrap it

around her neck with the filling under the chin. It's not tight and won't

restrict her breathing if she does lean forward.

(Melbourne, Australia; mum to Hannah, 2yrs10mths, polymicrogyria,

epilepsy, spastic quad.cp,

cortical vision impairment, dev. delay, bard button, and a

brilliant smile)

- Crystal didn't have head control until she was at least 6 mos old.

She could't roll over until she was ar least 9 mos. old. She couldn't sit

unassisted ( for a decent amount of time ) until she was at least 11 mos. old.

Now she's almost running & climbing EVERYWHERE !!!!!!

Give Kennedy a great big hug & kiss from Miss Crys...

Merry Christmas to all !!!!!

Lotsa luv,

& Crys - almost 21 mos old - BPP & adorable !!!!!!!!!!

,

Have you ever seen a boppy? It's a type of pillow they have here in the US.

The company makes one that is small to put around a child's neck for this

exact purpose. They sell them at Toys R Us. Just a thought.

Hello ,

Looked at my old notes, Teddy was 7 months old and I said he was lifting his

head while on his chest to watch his brother play.

Kim Raub (mother of Teddy - 2 1/2 w/diffuse PMG)

He uses sign language, runs around, rides a big wheel,

has trouble chewing & swallowing solid foods,

has 1 identical twin (without PMG), 2 big brothers

and a busy Daddy. We live in CT.
