Guest guest
i tried requip and it sucked. i definitely think that taking other strong drugs is only adding fuel to the fire. i dont see how other psychtropic drugs could help psychtropic drug induced sexual dysfunction. we need to detoxify our bodies not rid them with more mind and sex altering chemicals. > >Reply-To: SSRIsex >To: SSRIsex >Subject: Good news after stopping Abilify >Date: Thu, 02 Mar 2006 05:32:19 -0000 > >Hi guys, > >I've been very busy lately at work but I wanted to briefly share the >latest news. > >Abilify + Requip was a combo that didn't work. Guest guest
Hi Biker - Great news. I hope things continue to progress. Three questions: 1. Did you experience any improvements WHILE on the combo or did it all come after stopping? 2. Do you think perhaps this combo helped to " jumpstart " your system? 3. Are you on any test. supplementation? Maybe for some people all it takes is a few weeks on some sort of pro-dopamine combo to get things going again. Thanks Luther > > Hi guys, > > I've been very busy lately at work but I wanted to briefly share the > latest news. > > Abilify + Requip was a combo that didn't work. Guest guest
hi tom, yes, but look how well you`re doing a few weeks *after* quitting requip. this rebound effect seems to be a recurring theme. what do you think? vornan > > i tried requip and it sucked. i definitely think that taking other strong > drugs is only adding fuel to the fire. i dont see how other psychtropic > drugs could help psychtropic drug induced sexual dysfunction. we need to > detoxify our bodies not rid them with more mind and sex altering chemicals. > > > > > >Reply-To: SSRIsex > >To: SSRIsex > >Subject: Good news after stopping Abilify > >Date: Thu, 02 Mar 2006 05:32:19 -0000 > > > >Hi guys, > > > >I've been very busy lately at work but I wanted to briefly share the > >latest news. > > > >Abilify + Requip was a combo that didn't work. My free T, total T and SHBG levels were taken two weeks ago and everything is right in the middle of normal range. I guess " fingring " the dopamine system with a d-agonist gives some sort of wake-up call to the brain. Biker
Guest guest
Hey Biker, great news. I really do think we need some sort of wake up call with regard to dopamine. Another thing that leads me to believe this is that when I took buspar for the second time I developed a tremor in my hands, and that still hasn't gone away after almost 3 months, so it seems to me that buspar messed with my dopamine even more. I feel like I'm going parkinsonian at age 22. I'm hoping that the theory of tianeptine indirectly raising dopamine activity turns out to be true...I may supplement it with dostinex or requip down the road. Whatever happened with your newspaper article? > > Hi guys, > > I've been very busy lately at work but I wanted to briefly share the > latest news. > > Abilify + Requip was a combo that didn't work. Guest guest
> I developed this unknown discomfort condition from trying herbs and supplemnt on below right rib cage. Do you recall which herbs caused this problem? I ask because the same thing has happened to me while taking various supplement combos. I'm not sure if it's a kidney thing or what, but it's an ache right below the ribcage and on the side sometimes. Very strange...

Since everyone responds to things differently it seems its hard to say which treatment is the best. I myself prefer to recover naturally like you but recovering naturally takes patience and it may take who knows how long. And I dont think all herbs are safe to take just because they are herbs or suppplement. I developed this unknown discomfort condition from trying herbs and supplemnt on below right rib cage. Anyways I think its great that you are having sucess with maca/arginine. Sadly I think im gonna take a break from the herbs because the discomfort intensifies when I take combo of pills. Guest guest
Unfortunatly I dont remember, I threw away the herb/supp, which I regret doing. I wasnt really worried at the time because I thought it was going to go away but its been almost a year now, wow how time flies. Did you notice your urines turning very cloudy and heavy because that how mine was everytime I took it. > > > I developed this unknown discomfort condition from trying herbs and > supplemnt on below right rib cage. > > Do you recall which herbs caused this problem? Guest guest
> Did you notice your urines turning very cloudy and heavy because that how mine was everytime I took it. Actually, my urine has been pretty coudy and frothy since I hit the skids 2 years ago. When I had a good period last spring i noticed it had cleared up a lot. I've been monitering the pH for a while and it's been very acidic. I've found that taking aminos seems to make it more alkaline. The sounds strange but it seems to be the case. Guest guest
I've noticed some similar trends, although I haven't taken any herbs in awhile. My urine is now always a really strong yellow color and very pungent, which I think has been more pronounced since taking supplements. I remember having pain in my very lower abdomen upon stopping ginkgo, and then I started having bloody bowel movements for awhile with a total loss of appetite, but I had digestive problems before taking anything so it might have been my own body's reaction. I never had pain around my rib cage though. But I was wondering if anyone else has taken yohimbe regularly. I took it every day for about two months when I was on buspar along with ginkgo, fish oil, and a green foods supplement. Looking back, this combo gave me the most libido since ssris, but things still weren't right, so I quit taking most of those things. Now I actually wish I hadn't taken yohimbe because I think my body got used to it and it ended up making things worse. Also, I realize now that yohimbe is not a safe herb to take often as it has been associated with kidney damage. So I guess I wouldn't be surprised if other herbs could have a risk of liver or kidney problems. Some herbs certainly aren't any less risky than some prescription drugs, especially since they are unregulated. I think that in my case, libido-enhancing supplements are a dead end because they don't go to the root of the problem and they may even be detrimental. I hope for others they can be more of a permanent solution. > > > Did you notice your urines turning very cloudy and heavy because that how > mine was everytime I took it. > > Actually, my urine has been pretty coudy and frothy since I hit the skids 2 > years ago. Guest guest
I actually had been thinking that the yohimbe in the vitamin/herbal formulation I was taking may have been the problem. I've taken tons of aminos on their own and pretty much every vitamin out there and never had a problem. You never know what you're getting with a lot of these herbals. Have you ever tried yohimbine instead of yohimbe? It's supposed to be safer and more standardized.
