Guest guest
Hi, all! I suffer w/dry mouth & I came across this info at immunesupport.com Happy New Year- Carly Some medications will induce dry mouth symptoms. If the medication has been helpful to your fibromyalgia [or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome], you may want to cope with the symptoms of dry mouth. Here's what you can do about dry mouth: -use ice chips, sugarless hard candy, and sugarless gum to keep your mouth moist. -increase fluid intake. Keep a small plastic water container handy. -determine whether dry mouth symptoms are related to the dose of antidepressants. Reducing the dose slightly may help, if lowering the dose doesn't worsen other symptoms. -use chewing gums which are designed to increase saliva. -investigate Biotene products for dry mouth, including gum, toothpaste, and mouthwash. -use artificial saliva when other efforts to generate natural saliva are inadequate. -get frequent dental checkups. Saliva prevents decay by washing food away from the teeth. If your dry mouth symptoms persist, discuss them with your physician.
