Guest guest
Hey everyone, this is totally off topic, but I just got finished reading " Tuesdays with Morrie " and wanted to recommend it to everyone. It is an excellent book...I read it in a day, and am actually going to reread it so that I can really absorb all the stuff it talks about. It's about a man who has ALS and is dying and one of his old students comes back and meets with him every Tuesday. The book is considered the young man's final thesis...as Morrie attempts to teach him some of life's most valuable lessons. One of my favorite lines in the book is " Death ends a life, not a relationship " because even though the person is no longer with you, the relationship that you had with that person will live on forever. Anyway, this is totally off topic, but it is a really great book, so I just wanted to see if any of you had already read it and to suggest it as reading material for the rest of you. It's also going to be on TV tomorrow night with Jack Lemmon and Hank Azaria....if you'd prefer to watch the movie instead of reading the book who may give this to her fiancee's grandmother as a Christmas gift because it teaches accepting your life and all that has happened instead of being angry and depressed about the things you cannot change...and I think she could get alot out of this book
