Hi Liz,

It sounds awful to have to take that many painkillers each night, but I'm sure you are doing what you have to do. I'm not a doctor, but make sure you protect your stomach by eating something to buffer the medication, and to get your liver regularly checked!

Graham's tumour was all removed last year which is good.

I cannot have a skin graft on my back as the problem is caused by bone (my rib hump), an operation would be too risky for me to help with the pain, I would need a very big operation.

At the moment I therefore need to take about 5 painkillers at night, tramadol, codeine and 2 paracetomol, I don't think this is satisfactory however but I can't sleep otherwise, I still get pain with the painkillers! I have scoliosis
