Guest guest
Just in case anyone likes data as much as I do, thought I would post some Vitamin D data from myself. Not exactly what mp.com predicts.... As far as subjective impressions, the main thing I've noted is that the bone pain that I was having in my arms and knees has abated dramatically. Both my doc and I assumed it was from the Bb infection, but given the response to the Vitamin D, seems that had more influence. No other med/supplement changes for weeks before/after Vitamin D, so no apparent alternative explanations. The second set of data were taken about a month after supplementing with 400 IU/day, quite conservative, but with an elevated starting calcium and a dad with a history of sarcoidosis, we took such an approach. Will now double the dose to 800 IU/day and begin calcium as well. Additional data probably in 4-8 weeks will be collected. Now the data: Before supplementation [march 21, 2005] *day 5 of cycle (I know there is at least one paper saying that cycle timing in women makes a significant difference in D measurements) calcium: 10.6 (range: 8.5-10.5 mg/dL) 25 D: 12 (range 20-100 ng/mL) 1,25D: 42 (range 15-60 pg/mL) During supplementation [August 26, 2005] *day 25 of cycle calcium: 9.5 (range 8.4-10.3 mg/dL) 25 D: 18 (range 20-100 ng/mL) 1,25D: 30 (range 15-60 pg/mL) Maybe I should post these on mp.com and watch them tell me how my 1,25 D and " ratio " is improving b/c of avoiding D....
