Guest guest
If you gave her medication for her illness it's probably that. Cold, flu and other off the counter meds have a tendency to do that. Even the colorless meds will turn the BM's into various colors. After a current cold virus and sore throat Abby's stool color has turned green.I know this is bacteria, but what is recommended for this? She cannot take diflucan at the moment due to upcoming blood tests. Thanks,Kathy H.
Guest guest
I don't really give OTC med's. She had Advil though. I think it's probably from the virus. Thanks, Kathy Re: stool color If you gave her medication for her illness it's probably that. Cold, flu and other off the counter meds have a tendency to do that. Guest guest
I think that green stool is a sign of excess bile coming from the liver, but I don't know all the reasons for it. Could be triggered by a virus or a bacteria I suppose. I would not do anything about it just yet, other than continue to give her the usual stuff that you do, like the probiotics and such, and it will most likely go away in a few days. Can be green from blue food coloring in foods, too, but I would bet that you don't let her have that stuff! :-) W Hudson wrote: After a current cold virus and sore throat Abby's stool color has turned green.
