Tony's going to love this one, because he's been trying to get me to

use iodine forever.

A local ENT (who actually cultures organisms), has been treating my

friend's nanny's sinus infection for a few months. She's been getting

very frustrated because she can't eradicate it, especially the

pseudomonas. She called some Stanford docs and they told her when it's

abx resistant to irrigate the sinuses with 2 tsp Betadine to 1 quart

of water. If you're using a syringe type irrigator you cannot " double-

dip " . Must be sterile. I'm fortunate because I've got a hydro-pulse

and double dipping is not a problem. I'm definitely going to do this.

Will report what I experience. Just thought some of you might be

interested.

This is interesting. I wonder if they add salt to that mix as I can't stand any water in my nose unless it has salt in it. Burns like crazy.

Great point, Marie. You've got to use a little bit of salt (or a

product like Breathe Ease that's got the proper ratio of salt and some

other good ingredients) or it will definitely burn. Thanks for the

reminder.
