Guest guest
Thanks for the exercise tips, Bill. Today is the day I start serious walking, starting slowly but being consistent with it. Weather is perfect here, supposed to get in the low 70's so a great day to start instead of maybe starting in cold rainy weather on the first day of the year. And I agree with you on the Romaine Lettuce. It is a staple in this house. Swimming is great too. Here I am, a block from the beach in the sunny south and swimming is not an option just now. Water in the Mississippi Sound is not clean (gulf water mixed with what comes out of the Mississippi River) so most just use pools. The pool I used was my son's. Hurricane Katrina knocked the Hwy 90 bridge out and it will not be reconstructed until late spring of next year. The loss of the bridge makes the commute to his pool 45 minutes each way instead of 15. Maybe later.... Guest guest
do you think vinegar works as a cleanser for raw foods? both my jewish friend and chinese relatives all say so soak the lettuce in vinegar. i'm wondering if it would kill e-coli? laurie > > > > *Winter*, comes with festivals and loads of activities to do... > > > > Like skiing, ice skating etc. etc....but *good skin care* is > > > > essential to save your skin from harshness of winter. > > > > > > > > Here are seven *NATURAL SKIN CARE TIPS *to have a smooth, soft > > > > skin and protect your skin from any harshness due to winter. > > > > > > > > 1. Guest guest
I know vinegar is acidic, about five percent 5% for store bought vinegar. I once saw a person wash his chicken in vinegar, he put about 16 ounces of white vinegar in the sink and washed the chicken with it. ?????????? I guess that would destroy any salmonella, maybe ????? I do not know about e coli ????? some strains of that thing are very nasty e coli is hard to destroy. If your lettuce is e coli contaminated, it would be better to throw it out, and purchase fresh romaine lettuce. Wine and cider vinegar are used more with foods we eat which maybe appropriate for lettuce washing. Clear white vinegar is for pickles etcetera. Clear white also cleans windows real well, so likely it's not that great for the digestive system. I am just guessing, don't know to much about vinegar??????? > > > > > > *Winter*, comes with festivals and loads of activities to do... > > > > > > Like skiing, ice skating etc. etc....but *good skin care* is > > > > > > essential to save your skin from harshness of winter. > > > > > > > > > > > > Here are seven *NATURAL SKIN CARE TIPS *to have a smooth, soft > > > > > > skin and protect your skin from any harshness due to winter. > > > > > > > > > > > > 1. Guest guest
welcome , happy walking. I travel about one hour on two buses and two subway trains to get to the 50 meter pool, the one I like the best. On the off days I travel about 45 minutes on two buses to the smaller pool. I guess I like swimming that much better than other exercising. (I got kicked in the upper right arm today!!!!........I tried going aver the man's foot when he did it but he got away. Oops sorry I was supposed to tell the guard " was I not?
