DMSO

I breed Bernese Mountain Dogs, and the one guy that had severe elbow dysplasia was almost put down.

I gave him (110lbs at the time) 3cc 99.7% undiluted DMSO in a sub Q injection every week. The first week he was much better, 70% at least and within 4 weeks you could not tell he was favoring that leg unless you knew it. I continued for two more months and stopped. He doesn't limp at all now, and that has been 4 years ago..

That is what I use. If you are concerned about impurities you can buy a

higher grade. The risks are Acetone or heavy metals, particulary in the

DMSO intended for use in industrial applications.

Because it becomes solid in the fridge you can allow it to freeze and

then pour off any remaining liquid. If it smells like acetone don't use

it.

I seriously doubt heavy metals are a risk in the veterinary grades, but

if you want to be sure have an assay done.

You say to pour off any remaining liquid. If it smell like Acetone don't use it. I take it you mean not to use this liquid but that the frozen DMSO is ok?

Cheers,

Yes and it will tell you something about that particular source of DMSO.

Most is diluted with water. I do not detect acetone odor in the 99% that

I buy from Jeffers or my horse vet, which is the same bottle.

That is the one I use if the distributor is FWI from Tulsa. I've gone

through 3 bottles of it with no problems at all.

I do not use USP grade due to the expense. Personally I am comfortable

using Veterinary grade because I have used it for years in my animals

including IV use. I buy it from www.petsupplies4less.com for $27.95 per

gallon, right now they are running a 10% off sale, I posted the coupon

code on the list but you can just call them and I am sure they will give

you the discount. They are great people to do business with. I have also

ordered it from www.jeffersequine.com simply because I order a lot of my

farm and kennel supplies from them.

I'm on my second bottle

Dr is working on a 16 volume set on DMSO so is not seeing patients

or taking many calls. When I contacted him by email he asked me to call

him. I have talked to him a couple of times. Once to let him know I was

starting the Yahoo List.

You can read my post on the board, I would

I use 50% on my back but some people can only tolerate 30% on their

back, which is a sensitive area. Others can not use DMSO at all but this

is very rare.

I have spoken with Gaylord Chemical about their USP grade. They are very

choosy in who they will sell to. Most people obtain USP grade with a

prescription. Since I have not looked for small quantities of USP grade

I can't tell you much. I did look into buying 55 gallon drums to

manufacture a product. Since I would be an mfg and am a pharmacologist

(research degree, not pharmacist) Gaylord was willing to sell to me

under a strict contract detailing how I would use it, in other words I

could not just rebottle it and sell it, I had to use it to make a product.

BTW Colloidal Gold works very well for arthritis symptoms and Colloidal

Silver, 1 T four times a day has been reported to eliminate symptoms as

well, presumably due to killing off mycoplasma in the joints. It can

also clear fibromyalgia, CFS and asthma symptoms. For asthma it is taken

into the lungs using a nebulizer. I use DMSO, 10% when I nebulize CS for

lung infections and for asthma -- helps deliver the CS through any lung

mucous.

If you are interested in CS or CG check www.purestcolloids.com -- they

have the smallest particle size so their colloids are more active. In

fact I talked to Key, the owner just this morning and he was

telling me that their CS generator costs over a million to make. Nothing

at all like my ionic Silver Gen SG6, which makes a decent silver product

but the efficacy is much lower so I have to take much more to get the

same effect. I just ordered 5 gallons of CG and CS for my family and

some research I am planning on my dogs who are hyper-sensitive to

strangers, I show them so that is a big hindrance. Also I plan to give

it to several older horses who have severe arthritis symptoms. A friend

with Fibromyalgia who is tired of all the drugs she is on, and me just

because it improves mental clarity and IQ by 20%. I have used CG before

so I know it works.

Hope this helps. I am also forwarding this to the DMSO list as it might

be helpful to others.
