Guest guest
I am the same since I got access to a scale, same 245lbs.(I would have never weighed myself on a scale if it had not been for this group - I did it for you all). Since I do not care how I look, I always feel good. When ever asked how I am, my answer is always " I am Good Thank You " , and when questioned repeatedly, I continue to say " I am good Thank You " However I got some advice from my nephew . He told me a Nutriton Expert he has talked with said exercise that causes your heart to beat, 130 beats per minute or less burns body fat. And exercise that causes your heart to beat, greater than 130 beats per minute works the muscles and , as he described it, burns muscle for it's cardiac benefit. So according to that source of information, if you want to loss weight, burn fat, then keep you heart beat under 130 beats per minute when exercising. This is consistent with my attitude and approach to exercise. Start slowly and work up to a safe pace so that you do not cause - joint - muscle - or - heart damage. Increase ten minutes per week, or as much as you feel safe to do so, then peak out at 40 minutes and then work on distance, and take a couple of years to plan your goal of walking 5 miles in forty minutes or less.(you all know I swim 1200 meters in forty minutes but this has taken me many years to work up to a level where is does not cause me any discomfort) Good advice for all us wanabe Babies.
