Guest guest
, Thanks for patronizing me yet again. I've been following Cheney's work for many years (have you?) and of course I'm interested in his recent cardiac theories, considering they seem applicable in my own case. And yes, I already know very well about a few people's concerns around aldesterone depletion and a possible connection to Benicar. It's the reason why I specifically had mine tested and found, after a year on high dose Benicar, that it's completely normal. How many actual reports have there been of reduced aldesterone in patients using Benicar or ARBs in general? Any statistics to back your concern? Of course I believe that information like the Japanese study should be made available for more study, but it's not proof of anything. And certainly not cause for alarm or hysteria. Especially when you've got a guinea pig like me, with both very low bp, and low blood volume, doing fine on high dose Benicar, with no reduction in Aldesterone. Does that count for anything? I'm concerned about all these over reactions. The kind of overreaction that will not allow the study to be posted or discussed at all, just as much as the kind of overreaction that won't even give the drug a chance. And please, there's no reason to bring my name up every time you want to criticize Benicar. I don't bring yours up when I feel like criticizing things. penny > But they will also perhaps help both Pippet and Penny understand one set of misgivings about the use of ARBs - their depletion of > aldosterone. > > S.
