Some help on flagyl pulses:

1. Both Stratton and Wheldon urge slow and gradual--

one tablet the first time, one a day for a few days

the second, etc. Work up at your own rate.

I actually found for the first round that I felt so

much better using one flagyl a day for two days, that

I did this once a week for a month. Then the effect

built up and I began to stretch out to the recommended

every three weeks.

2.After about two months, I build up a reaction to

Flagyl where I got sick and nauseated even with one

dose. I switched to Tinidazole and tolerate it much

better.

3. One key I've found is that the endotoxic reaction

builds up at about the second or third day now and I

feel very sick, crappy all over, neurotoxic. I've

found doing the Vitamin C flush does wonders for

clearing this. You have to wait until the morning abx

doses are absorbed so you don't waste them. Then one

rounded teaspoon Buffered C powder (I use Allergy

Research) every 15 minutes until bowel tolerance (ie

evvacuation). My first time took up to 20 grams (yes

grams), but it takes less now. Teitelbaum's site has

instructions on the Vitamin C Flush somewhere.

I think the effect is not just as a laxative,

although this probably flushes out the endotoxin in

the bowel our liver has processed, but a direct usage

by the body to handle the oxidative stress of the

bacterial endotoxin. It also helps less joint ache!

See this link for more info on C and endotoxin:
