Guest guest
Was it pharmceutical grade Belinda? Rimso 50 is a prescription DMSO that is 50% DMSO but USP grade. Vicki on the horse forum uses it topically for her lupus and her insurance pays for it. Her doctor had to prescribe it though. www.jacoblab.com sells a pure grade as well. BTW the Gaylord Chemical Plant, the USP DMSO production facility, is in Slidell. I got an email saying they made it through Katrina. A USP lab costs about ten million, or more to build. So glad that one did not suffer damage. I just used DMSO yesterday when my Aussie jumped straight into my lower lip with her head. I motioned for her to jump up on my lap but she ususally puts her front legs up there. This time she leapt right into my lap in one bound. I grabbed some 70% that was on the counter next to the computer, where I always keep some for boo boos. Dabbed it on and then put some on a small peice of terry cloth and held it on my lip for about five minutes, then on the inside where my lip busted against my teeth. No swelling no soreness. Gotta love it! Garnet > I recently started working in a locally owned pharmacy about 4 weeks ago. > Yesterday a woman came in and asked to pick up her DMSO. Guest guest
Nature's Gift, perhaps? I have an 8 oz bottle ($12.95 from our local co-op grocery) that's from DMSO Marketing, Inc, PO BOx 439, Ghent, KY 41045 800/367-6935 The label says it's "intended for use as a solvent only" Of course, that's what the 16 oz bottle I got from Rural King for $4.00 says too. It's distributed by FWI, Tulsa, OK 74116 and only says 99% purity on the bottle. Saralou RE: DMSO in the pharmacy No it was the 13.00 a pint jar made in KY somewhere. The brand was Natures ___?___ .
