Guest guest
http://www.jefferslivestock.com/ssc/product.asp?CID=2 & pf_id=16064 this company sent to me in nova scotia by canada post... -- Availability Hi my name is Kent I am new to the list and am trying to find any supplier or individual, who can sell me DMSO. I called Peak equine this afternoon and found out they can no longer sell DMSO as the government (Canadian) requires a drug identification number (din). I find this very disturbing and know that the government is trying to do this with any herbal or alternative medicine. It sickens me to know that just because something works, and is not patentable they have to suppress the individuals right to choose . All in the name of profit for their multinational pharmaceutical buddies. I am a gentleman with a spinal cord injury and don't like to take antibiotics or any other drugs. However, my situation dictates I must take certain things. It would be nice not have to worry about government interference when taking a more holistic approach to health, yet I fear those days are over, if they were ever here at all. Sorry, that's my rant for today, I really appreciate the knowledge and compassion on this list and the Silver list both of which, I am fairly new to. If anyone would like to e-mail me personally my e-mail is kentgoulet@... __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I appreciate the responses I received. I have ordered some DMSO and MSM and am wondering if anyone knows of a good way to mix the two into a usable compound. Is DMSO to be used at full strength or should it be diluted with something if so, Any suggestions. Is there anyone on the list taking DMSO internally, maybe with CS/MSM. I am just trying to get an idea of how DMSO can be used, as I have reoccurring uti's and chronic pain issues stemming from my spinal cord injury. Thanks KentLagoon wrote: http://www.jefferslivestock.com/ssc/product.asp?CID=2 & pf_id=16064 this company sent to me in nova scotia by canada post... -- Availability Hi my name is Kent I am new to the list and am trying to find any supplier or individual, who can sell me DMSO. Guest guest
To mix DMSO and MSM you can dissolve MSM in water, as much as will go into solution. Then use this to dilute the DMSO. ALWAYS add the DMSO to water, not the water to DMSO. Heat is released when it is mixed and this helps slow that reaction. I like to dilute my DMSO with CS since I have it on hand most of the time. Always use pure water to dilute, distilled or RO is best. Never use tap water unless it is pure well water. For topical use 30 - 70% is generally used. Some people get a strong itching and redness, due to histamine release. This goes away with continued use as the cells that store histamine become depleted. I have used full stregnth but it is very drying, it pulls oils out of the skin as well as water. Pretreating the skin with aloe vera gel helps prevent this. Or treating after with Emu or other oil. Starting with 30% and working up seems to be a good idea. Although lots of people just jump in at 70%. I would be cautious with areas like the back of the neck, knees and inside the elbows to use a lower concentration. These areas are more sensitive. I have used it on my temples alone and after peppermint oil for headaches. I often use peppermint oil alone but this is very warming. DMSO MSM and CS is often mixed and used in a Nebulizer to breathe into the lungs for asthma, lung infections and to clear mucous from allergies, where it will help prevent secondary infections. Orally DMSO is recommended to be used at 4% or 10% by Dr Stanley . The recommended daily dose is 4 cc of 99% but it is too concentrated to take without diluting. I have taken it orally with CS at about 20 or 30%. It did upset my stomach a little and gave me a short lived headache -- to be expected. People have used much greater amounts orally and IV, but these are the recommendations. I will forward an email I posted to the www.silver.org list on mixing DMSO and CS for oral use. You may want to read through the list archives -- there is so good info there that would be too much to try and repeat here. And the book DMSO Nature's Healer is good, updated in 1994 it covers much of the use of DMSO. Amazon has it. MSM The Definitive Guide by Dr is also a good book, and does have some info about DMSO, Amazon has it too. Dr is working on a six volume set on DMSO. Garnet > I appreciate the responses I received.
