Guest guest
This is a long shot, but there was a program I heard on radia 4 sometime last year featuring a policy in a Scainavian country (Finland?), whereby children were given a few days off school each year, specificaly to go out fruit picking. Studies seemed to show that this revival of a traditional harvesting activity had had a positive impact on health. I seem to remember them saying specificaly heart disease, though presumably that would make a pretty long term study. Does anyone else have a recollection of this, or even better some idea about the research? I wanted to reference it for a report I was writing for a school. Thanks,
